Qualcomm is going to announce its new processor which is Snapdragon 865. It is scheduled to be launched on December 3 at an event. Prior to launch, the Chinese luxury smartphone and watchmaker 8848, powered by this processor, have already announced their phones.
Watchmaker 8848 is the first company to announce that it is making a smartphone with an upcoming processor. However, the date of its launch has not been revealed yet. It remains to be seen how much of a hit this smartphone market will be. The smartphone is named Titanium M6 5G.
LTE and 5G variants with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor are also expected to be launched in early December itself. It is also being told that Qualcomm can also launch the flagship processor in December itself.
The Snapdragon 865 will replace the flagship Snapdragon 855, which will be powered by a number of high-end phones of 2019 and will likely appear in its first products in early 2020. The company has also promised that mid-range chips will receive integrated 5G treatment in 2020. We may also see an additional announcement along these lines.
Snapdragon 865 features are expected to include an updated Adreno GPU and new CPU cores. Qualcomm doubled image processing capabilities last year, and is expected to do something latest again with the Snapdragon 865.
Other possible announcements include a new Snapdragon Wear chip for smartwatches and possible additions to the company's audio product range. Now it will be necessary to see what else the Snapdragon 865 brings with it. Its address will be known only from 3 to 5 December 2019.
