Li-Fi Technology

Today we will talk about LiFi technology. li fi has a full form. light fidelity. It is a wireless communication technology. Which is used for data transfer. The term was introduced by Harald Haas during a 2011 TedGlobal talk in Edinburgh. It works exactly like wifi. In wifi, we transfer data through radio waves, while data from lifi is transferred through light. Now, if we talk about the benefits of lifi, then it is a technology that runs through light, and transforms data very easily and in a short time.Its speed can be from 100gbps to 400gbps. Which is much faster than wifi.

Now if we talk about security, we see in wifi that as soon as the wifi signal is on, many devices also connect with one. If we are sitting in a room, then a person also gets outside the wifi network and can easily use the internet. Password is used for this in wifi but still it is hacked nowadays. Now if we talk about lifi, it does not happen in it, because it runs through light so that its network cannot cross the room or wall. So if someone is sitting outside the room, they will not be able to access the network. This will also make electricity power less efficient than wifi. If lifi is used, this is a huge benefit considering security. Its data is very secure.

Wifi uses radio signals that are not good for human. Its use causes adverse effects on our body. Apart from this, if we use lifi then we can avoid all this. In lifi, light is used instead of radio signals, so we do not have any kind of harm. We can also use lifi underwater. While the radio signal underwater used in wifi cannot work, lifi is very beneficial for this.

Now if we talk about how this lifi will work, how can we use it. So there is no need of any kind of router in lifi, only the light installed at our house can work as a router, from which we can get data. If the light is turned off at night, then some lights will be such that there is very little voltage and its light is like a night light, which we cannot see, through it we can use lifi also at night.

It also has some limitations, such as if we turn off all the lights in the house, the lifi network will also end. Apart from this, it is also very expensive. If a light has lifi and we are using it then suddenly any other type of light comes at the same time. So it can also have internet discrep. That is why lifi cannot be used for ruler area.

There is still a lot of work to be done on this technology. On which work is also going on. It needs to be made in such a way that it can also be used in the ruler area. There should be no sunlight or any other type of light. Now it has to be seen how beneficial it proves to us and how much its limitations can be reduced.
